Massu, Fish Go for Gold

Chilean Nicolas Massu will meet American Mardy Fish in the Olympic Gold Medal Round in Athens on Sunday. Massu won the first Chile vs. USA semifinal today besting Taylor Dent 7-6(5), 6-1. Mardy Fish fought back from a set down to take out Fernando Gonzalez 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 and set the stage for the gold.

Fish won the only previous meeting with Massu in the second round of the 2002 TD Waterhouse Cup 6-3 6-4. Dent takes a 1-0 lead into head-to-head meetings against Gonzalez when they battle for the bronze on Saturday. Dent won a third round thriller at the 2003 US Open 7-6(9) 6-7(3) 3-6 7-6(4) 6-4.
